For the past six years the Pulaski County Volunteer Fire Association has conducted specialized fire training for the Volunteer Fire Departments in Pulaski County. Pulaski County OEM works with the Association to set up the training. In the past, the Conway Fire Department has graciously opened their training facility in Conway to the Pulaski County Volunteer Fire Fighters and also instructed the classes with Little Rock Fire Department instructors. For the second year since it was opened, the Volunteer Fire Fighters have trained at Little Rock Fire Department’s new training facility on Murray Street. The Little Rock Fire Department instructors taught several of the classes. This is excellent training that volunteers normally do not have access to. This type of training could not be done without the support and assistance of the Little Rock Fire Dept., Conway Fire Department, Jacksonville Fire Dept., Sherwood Fire Dept., Maumelle Fire Dept., MEMS, the Arkansas Fire Academy and the Pulaski County Volunteer Fire Association. This training is also made possible with donations by Home Depot, Krispie Cream, Daylight Donuts, and the Pulaski County Local Emergency Planning Committee. Thank you to these wonderful agencies and the Volunteer Fire Fighters of Pulaski County and the dedication you show every day of the year! |
